Production Blog Time to Record
On Saturday my group and I got together to start filming our commercial. We all got together at Zeyn’s house. We were not able to use mine or Jhon’s house because we do not own pools. Sam’s house had a large amount of guests over so we were not able to use his pool for film production. When we got to Zeyn’s house we all got together with our storyboard and ran down it again. After which we decided what props we would need to have for the production of this commercial. Zeyn and I hopped onto my electric scooter and drove over to the nearby CVS Pharmacy. We grabbed things such as pool floats, Arizona Ice Teas, and ice cubes. We than brought it back to Zeyn’s house to setup the filming area. We blew up the floats and set up the cooler with ice and filled with Arizona Ice Teas. We than set up every prop in its correct location. After which I grabbed my tripod and selfie stick and began recording. I used the tripod to get steady angles and shots to ensure a professional outcome. I also used the cinematography feature on my IPhone 13 for a professional look. We used the selfie stick to get top views and pan shots. We had multiple takes on each shot to make sure we can choose from the best ones. After a couple of hours of filming we got all of our shots. We got around 6 takes for each shot to make sure we get the perfect outcome for this commercial. After which we all went inside I connected my phone to Zeyn’s computer and projected my screen to his computer so we can all take a look at the takes. After we chose all the best takes from each shot and sent it to Sam’s iPhone where he will be editing the commercial through an app called CapCut.
