Name: Jason Alexandrescu Creative Critical Reflection 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? - The  music video (product) challenges conventions by its representation of upbeat and good intentions. It represent social groups by bringing good vibes and energy to the individuals watching the music video. This can represent people who are feeling down and can always be brought back up from good intentions and energy. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text? - It engages with the audience by giving off good vibes to the watchers while being totally free and available for everyone. Such video can help the viewers excrete dopamine which is a hormone in our brain that is usually the result of us being happy/feeling good. Its distributed as a media text through YouTube ads and ads on webpages. 3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project? - Througho

 After multiple days of planning, filming, and editing the music video is  officially done. We were satisfied with the way the project came out. It fit perfectly with how we imagined it to come out. There were somethings we could have  improved on but, overall the video came out very well. It was an amazing experience to film such a video and would definitely do it again!

      Today we had planned out for a full editing day. Our plan was to meet up and start editing our music video. We were all awake at 11:30 a.m. and all got in a group call. We talked about what time and when where we would meet up to start editing. We decided to meet up at 2:00 p.m. and it would be at Sam’s house. We all ate breakfast to make sure we do not get interrupted for the next few hours of editing. We all got on our bikes and met up at Sam’s house all on time. We got there and immediately started working on the project. We projected my phone that had all the videos to his computer that way everyone can see what is going on. I loaded up all the videos to the editing software in order and we got to work. We were all giving amazing ideas in order to create an amazing finished product. While editing the video we were able to cut out any bloopers or mistakes. We took around three hours to fully finalize the music video. We were really proud of the finished product. It was just as

      Today we planned on meeting up and start editing our video. However as per usual Zeyn had a pop job call in. He had to attend it because it is now his priority. Sam was still dealing with family business. So it was only Jhon and I available. We were not able to meet up because of this. We needed all 4 of us to edit together. We need all of us so we can all put our input. We also all need to put in effort towards the editing part. Zeyn gets out of work very late today. This because they called him in for a double shift. Sam said that he is still trying to figure out his family stuff. He said everything is getting better though so it is getting better. We plan on meeting up tomorrow so we can start editing. We will all meet up at Sam's house as we can project the phone to his computer. We need this so that way we can all see what is happening when editing. For today we will just use it as a rest day.       Today we all planned on filming the remainder of our music video. We all got up at around 12:00 a.m and started to get ready. We looked at the weather and it was clear blue skies. This was perfect because it fit the theme of our video accordingly. We all ate breakfast and started talking the group chat. We ran down the entire plan for the day and went out the front door. We all met up at downtown Hollywood to film our first shots. These shots were going to be of us walking around downtown all happy and dancing with people. We also got a couple of shots of us having fun at a park in Downtown Hollywood. After a couple of multiple takes of each shot we decided to grab lunch. While eating lunch I ran through all the shots and organized them accordingly. After lunch we hopped on our bikes and headed to Downtown Dania Pointe. It was a 30 minute bike ride and got outside so we decided that as soon as we get there we stop for some refreshers and ac. After our little break we started film

      We planned on filming the second half of our music video today. We all got up at 11:00 a.m. and got ready to meet up. However the first thing we all noticed after getting ready was the weather. There were dark grey clouds in the distance. When checking the whether it said 70% chance of rain. So we were all talking about it in the group chat and decided to postpone the filming. We were not able to film because the whether did not fit the theme of the video. So instead of not doing anything the whole day we decided to make a group call and plan on every detail of the second part of the video. At around 1:00 p.m. we all got into a group call. And for about an hour we brainstormed ideas on how we can make this video as good as possible. We talked about ways to film and edit certain shots. We were able to get a full run down of how we want our finished product to look like. At around 3:00 p.m. Jhon had an unexpected call into work. So the day worked out properly because if we were out

      Today was the day we had planned on filming. We all got up at around 10 a.m. and started getting ready. We got dressed and biked to the first film location. Our first film location is at West Lake Park. We got there at around 11:20 a.m. and started setting up all the props. We set up the tripod and clothing props. We started filming and took each shot three times to ensure good results. After we got the park shots we cleaned up all the props. We got on our bikes and started heading towards the beach. We got to the beach and had a long walk before we found the perfect filming location. We took the first couple of shots dancing and walking on the sand. After those shots we got a couple of shots of us playing volleyball. After we played some volleyball we went and grabbed ice cream to use it for the video. We made sure to do each shot three times to ensure good results. After ice cream we got more shots of us dancing in crowds of people on the boardwalk. After we got all the shots w

      Unfortunately, I got sick a few days before the planned recording day. We planned on recording a few days ago but I got sick which delayed the recording day. As I was sick Sam was also busy with family business. We’re planning on get the first few clips of the park and beach in one day of recording. Even tho I got sick we were still able to go out and grab props and prepare for the postponed film date. Zeyn and Jhon went to party city to purchase some fun props such as glasses, hats, and capes. I already have the “boom box” for the video so that was already off the checklist. I also have my iPhone 13 pro for the camera. My tripod will be used to capture shots that are not capable of being shot by bare hand. We will use our bikes to transport from place to place. Sam will bring his volleyball for the shot of us playing volleyball. We plan on using the volleyball shot to show an excitement of a sport. I am now feeling much better and we are still going through with the new film dat
